How to Download TikTok Slideshow Photos

Save every image from a TikTok photo post or carousel at full resolution — plus the background audio when the post includes a soundtrack.

How to download TikTok slideshow photos at full resolution

TikTok is not just short videos anymore. Photo posts — sometimes called slideshows or carousels — let creators upload multiple images that viewers swipe through, often synced to music. Screenshots look blurry, crop awkwardly, and miss slides you did not swipe to in time. The better approach is to download the original image files TikTok hosts for that post.

{{siteName}}’s slideshow tool resolves every photo in a public carousel and can bundle them into a ZIP or let you grab images one by one. When the post includes audio, you can download that separately as MP3. This guide walks through the full workflow on any device.

What counts as a TikTok slideshow?

  • Photo posts — static images uploaded directly to TikTok (not a screen recording of a video)
  • Multi-image carousels — two to 35 slides you swipe through horizontally
  • Template slideshows — auto-generated sequences using TikTok’s photo mode and effects
  • Posts with optional audio — many carousels play a song or sound while you browse slides

If the content is a traditional MP4 video — even one made from still images with Ken Burns motion — use the video downloader instead. Slideshow mode is for true photo posts where each slide is a separate image file.

What you’ll need

  • A public TikTok photo post link (Share → Copy link from the post)
  • Enough storage for a ZIP if the carousel has many high-resolution images
  • A browser — mobile or desktop — with no extra apps required

Step 1 — Copy the photo post link

  1. Open the TikTok slideshow you want to save.
  2. Tap Share (arrow icon).
  3. Tap Copy link.

Make sure you copy the link from the photo post itself, not a duet or comment thread. The URL should open the carousel when pasted into a browser.

Step 2 — Download with {{siteName}}

  1. Visit the TikTok Slideshow downloader.
  2. Paste the link and tap Download.
  3. Wait for the preview — you should see thumbnails for each slide.
  4. Download individual images or choose Download all (ZIP) to get every photo at once.
  5. If audio is available, a separate MP3 option may appear — grab it when you want the soundtrack offline.

{{siteName}} pulls the highest-resolution URLs TikTok exposes for each slide. That is typically sharper than screenshotting, because you receive the source JPEG or WebP rather than a compressed screen capture.

Step 3 — Open and organize your files

ZIP download

  1. Save the .zip file to Downloads.
  2. On iPhone, open Files → tap the ZIP → it unpacks automatically.
  3. On Android, open Files → Downloads → tap the ZIP and extract.
  4. On desktop, double-click the ZIP to extract into a folder.

Images are usually numbered in swipe order (1.jpg, 2.jpg, …) so you can sort or edit them in sequence.

Single-image download

Tap each thumbnail’s download button when you only need one slide — useful for wallpaper saves or reference boards without storing the full set.

Optional MP3 audio

When the carousel uses a trending sound, download the MP3 separately and pair it with the images in CapCut, iMovie, or a slideshow app. See our TikTok to MP3 guide for more audio tips.

Full resolution vs screenshots

  • Screenshots capture your screen pixels — lower DPI, UI chrome, and status bar clutter.
  • Direct downloads use TikTok’s CDN image URLs, which are often 1080px wide or larger depending on the upload.
  • No watermark overlay on images — unlike TikTok’s video save, photo files do not get a burned-in logo (text stickers the creator added in-app will still appear).

Extremely large originals may still be downscaled by TikTok on upload. What you download is the best quality TikTok serves publicly — usually enough for wallpapers, mood boards, and print-at-home sizes.

Tips for better slideshow downloads

  • Use ZIP for 3+ slides — faster than tapping each image separately and keeps numbering consistent.
  • Download soon after copying — like videos, image CDN links can expire. Refresh by pasting the TikTok link again if a save fails.
  • Check slide count in TikTok first — swipe through the entire carousel so you know how many images to expect in the ZIP.
  • Save audio when it matters — recipe carousels, travel diaries, and meme formats often rely on the paired sound for context.
  • Rename after extracting — add descriptive filenames if you are collecting references for a project.

Troubleshooting

Only one image appears

Confirm the post is a multi-photo carousel, not a single-image post or a video. Re-copy the link from Share on the original post.

ZIP will not open on iPhone

Use the Files app (not Photos). Tap the ZIP once — iOS creates a folder with the same name containing the images.

Images look cropped differently than in-app

TikTok’s viewer applies aspect-ratio masks. Downloaded files are the full uploaded frame; open them in Photos or an editor to see the complete image.

No MP3 option shown

Some photo posts use silent templates or system sounds TikTok does not expose as a separate track. If the post is technically a video export, use the MP3 converter on the video link instead.

Private or friends-only post

Only public photo posts work. Verify by opening the link in a private browser window while logged out.

When to use slideshow vs video download

Post type Best tool
Swipeable photo carousel Slideshow downloader
Animated or video clip Video downloader
Soundtrack only MP3 converter

Download photos responsibly

Photo posts often include personal photography, artwork, infographics, or licensed stock. Saving public images for personal reference, inspiration, or offline viewing is common, but redistribution without permission can violate copyright and TikTok’s terms. Do not repost someone else’s carousel as your own content, remove watermarks or credits added by the creator, or use images commercially without a license. When sharing inspiration, link back to the original creator.
